Jonnie Moncrief Sharp, 53, a resident of Cherry Valley, went to be with the Lord, Monday, March 25, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born, November 5, 1970, in Forrest City, the daughter of John Franklin and Wanda Thomas Moncrief. She married Luther Sharp on June 9th, 2014.
She was Baptized in the Vanndale Baptist Church many years ago and used to work at Daylight Donuts as a cashier. She never met a stranger and had a unique personality always clowning around, but could be a little bit stubborn! She enjoyed fishing, hunting for sea shells and crab on the beach, having fun, but her greatest joy was her family, she adored her daughters and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Wanda Moncrief.
Survivors include her husband of nine years: Luther Sharp of the home, two daughters: Amanda Jarrett and husband Casey of Vanndale, Nikki Smith and husband Shannon of Vanndale, one brother: Ted Pittman of Jonesboro, two sisters: Debra Franklin of Vanndale, Donna May of Birdeye, four grandchildren: Kalyn Jarrett, Alexa “BooBoo” Jarrett, Ryker Smith, Braxton Free and her fur babies: Rocky, Chico, Daisey and Izzy.
A visitation will be held, Thursday evening from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at the Vanndale Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held, Friday at 2:00 p.m., at Vanndale Baptist Church with burial following in Moncrief Cemetery.
