Alice Ann Leonard, 89, a resident of Mound House, Nevada, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, October 1, 2023, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born, July 25, 1934, in Los Angels, California, the daughter of Porter and Ruth Seitel Flint.
Alice had a tough childhood, her father fed her with an eye dropper to keep her alive after birth. After graduating high school, Alice attended Caffey College in Ontario, California, majoring in photography, which won her many awards. She also played the violin and sang in the choir. Alice worked as a secretary for government agencies and Sears before starting her own jewelry business. She and her husband traveled the country selling her jewelry. She also volunteered at the Nevada Train Museum in Carson City. Alice and her husband traveled the world and enjoyed life until his passing. Alice was an amazing woman; she was independent until the last few months of her life. She had a great sense of humor and loved to sing and harmonize and adored her cats and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband: Harry “Ray” Leonard.
Survivors include one sister: Helen Pearson of Wofford, California, cousin: Shirley Tanner of Colt, Neice: Lori Flint of Palm Desert, California and many other nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date in Nevada.
Memorials may be sent to the ASPCA or Tunnel for Towers.
