Anthony "Andy" Carldean Burns

Anthony “Andy” Carldean Burns, 64, of Horn Lake, Mississippi, departed this life, Friday, September 1, 2023, at his home. He was born, November 11, 1958 in Clarksdale, Mississippi, the youngest son of Arthur and Julia “Arline” Lowe Burns.

Andy attended high school in Ashton, Illinois and then served in the US Air Force from March 1981 until March 1983. He worked as a self-employed residential painter and loved working on Ford trucks as well as many other projects, always staying busy. Andy loved music, even had his own band, there was not an instrument that he couldn’t play. He was a very generous and loving person, his greatest loves were family, music and animals. He had a great sense of humor and loved having fun with family and friends.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur Burns and Arline Grayum-Burns and one sister: Judy Kennedy.

Survivors include his only child: Autumn Burns of Munford, Tennessee, life partner: Debbie Burns of Munford, Tennessee, step daughters: Jasmine Sikes of Florida and Sarah Burns of California, one brother: Ricky Grayum of Pangburn, two sisters: Brenda Lutts of Clarksdale, Mississippi, and Phyllis Killion of Horn Lake, Mississippi, one grandchild: Adalyn Burns of Munford, Tennessee and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family will hold a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
