Barbara Allene (Starkey) Laird

Barbara Allene Laird, 76, a resident of Colt, departed this life, Friday, June 25, 2021, at home with her family by her side.  She was born, September 3, 1944 in Heth, the daughter of John and Fannie Hopkins Starkey.

She married Mr. Billy Laird on July 15, 1966, she supported veterans and church with bingo, loved to garden, was a great cook and did a lot of canning. She was a great wife, mother and grandmother. Barbara loved being with her family and spoiled her grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years; Billy Laird of the home, only child; Bruce Laird of Marana, Arizona and four grandchildren.

To honor Barbara’s wishes, she will be cremated without service.

Cross County Funeral Service and Crematory had the honor of handling the arrangement for the Laird family.
