Betty Mae Cahoon, 84, a resident of Cherry Valley, departed this life, Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon, on March 1, 1940, the daughter of Joseph and Elsie Morgan.
Betty grew up in Oregon and at some point in her life she moved to Arkansas, where she settled, married and raised her family. She was feisty and self-assured but was the glue for her family. She enjoyed going to flea markets, working in her garden, crocheting, word puzzles and playing games on her tablet. Her greatest joy and love was her children and grandchildren, whom she would help when she could. Betty went through some rough patches in her life but always tried to make it the best she could. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. "I love you one more than you could ever say"
She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Elsie Morgan, husband: George Cahoon, son: Henry Thompson, a daughter: Penny Morris.
Survivors include one daughter: Veronica Crumley of Cherry Valley, three brothers: her twin: Richard Morgan, James Morgan, John Morgan all of Oregon, five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
No services will be held at this time.
