Betty Ann Carter, 72, a resident of Wynne, departed this life, Saturday, November 19, 2022, at her home with family by her side. She was born, September 8, 1950, in Paris, Texas, the daughter of Edward Lawrence Mason and Marth Ann Good Mason.
Betty lived in Wynne for many years, raising her family while working some as a cabin cleaner at the State Park and cleaning mobile homes at times, she became a care taker in later life, caring for a few hospice patients. She was old fashioned and raised her children on old fashion values, being stern and loving. She enjoyed cooking, watching westerns, making flower arrangements, and sewing clothes for her children when they were growing up. Betty was a hard worker, even in her own home. She will be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Donald Ray Carter, brothers: Lawrence Mason, Johnny Mason, Wayne Mason and Billy Mason, two grandchildren; Paul Pittman and Robert Harris.
Survivors include seven sons: Aaron Carter of Blytheville, Austin Carter of Forrest City, Hayden Carter of Wynne, Dillon Carter of New York, Roy Harris of Forrest City, Eddie Harris of Forrest City, and Bobby Harris of Forrest City, two daughters: Terry Ann Harris and Dewey Milton of Forrest City, Sherry Stevenson of Wynne, Daughter-in-Law; Neatha Harris of Wynne, three brothers: Dean Mason, Paul Mason of Texas, Jerry Mason of Forrest City, one sister; Carol Carson of Texas, twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
All services will be private.
