Billy Jarrett, 68, a resident of Hickory Ridge, departed this life, Thursday, December 2, 2021, in Jonesboro, with his family by his side. He was born, March 7, 1953, in McCrory, the son of Edward Elvin and Jewel Evelyn Stokes Jarrett.
Billy married the love of his life, December 22, 1972, he served in the Army National Guard for two years, before getting into residential construction, then became a truck driver for Cullen Seed and a butcher for Hays and Mad Butcher. He attended Fair Oaks Assembly of God Church for many years and always had a servant’s heart, always willing to help others. Billy was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved to go camping, fishing, walking trails, checking out classic cars, woodworking in his shop, building model cars, his cats, chickens and dog. Billy was known as a prankster, always ready with a joke or a prank for the family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Bobby Jarrett, three sisters: Mary Newby, Betty Burton and Margaret Little Moore.
Billy is survived by his wife of forty-nine years: Brinda Erline Hill Jarrett, three sons: Tony Wigginton and wife Katie of Hickory Ridge, Billy Ray Jarrett and wife Christina of Hickory Ridge and Timmy Jarrett and wife Natalie of Wynne, two brothers: Roby Jarrett and Sonny Jarrett both of McCrory, nine sisters: Janie Wallace of Wynne, Ruby Mae Meredith of McCrory, Jean Burkett of Augusta, Donna McNew of Harrisburg, Barbara Ball of McCrory, Michelle Holder of McCrory, Carletta Jones of Heber Springs Linda Harrison of Harrisburg, and Glenda Suthrlen, eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren with one more on the way, and his best friend: Cocoa.
Memorial services for Billy will be announced at a later date to be announced.
