Mr. Billy Thomas Garner, of Wynne, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 8th at his home surrounded by his loving wife, daughter and grandchildren at the age of 72. He was born on January 25, 1948 in Wynne to the late James Edward and Mildred Estell “Rhoads” Garner.
Billy was a faithful member and deacon of the Wynne Baptist Church. He also served as the keyboardist for the WBC Choir. He owned and worked at Wynne Abstract for many years and was also a technology thech for Forrest City schools for a period of time after receiving two Bachelor degrees for MIS. He loved Christmas time and enjoyed collecting Hallmark ornaments. He was quick witted sometimes, but was always kind hearted and would do whatever he could to help others in need. Billy was very respected by those who knew him and loved spending time and making memories with his family.
Mr. Garner was preceded in death by both of his parents: James and Mildred Garner, one brother: Larry Garner, and one great granddaughter: Abigail Faith Garcia.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Sue Morse Garner of the home, one daughter: Christy Davis and husband Randy of Wynne, one sister: Joan Scharfenberg and husband Terry, sister-in-law: Joyce Hall Garner, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Those honored with assisting are: Bro. Mike Shipp, Bro. Don Dunnavant, and Bro. Matt Dunnavant.
Visitation for Mr. Garner will be Tuesday evening, August 11th, at Wynne Baptist Church from 6 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Wynne Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Crosslawn Cemetery in Wynne.
