Calvin Raymond Tucker

Calvin Raymond Tucker, 68, a resident of Poughkeepsie, formerly of Wynne, departed this life, Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in Cherokee Village. He was born on December 6, 1956, in Hilleman the son of Henry Tucker and Myrtle May Slane Tucker.

He was raised in the Hilleman community and then moved around from place to place. He worked as a welder for Proctor Manufacturing and various other farm equipment places. Calvin had a great love of music, playing in a band for a while, he enjoyed playing guitar and singing, especially to his grandchildren. He lived life to the fullest and loved hanging out on his porch, making people laugh, and being with his family and watching them laugh and have fun.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Myrtle Tucker, and two brothers: Lee Roy Tucker and Billy Don Tucker.

Survivors include his life partner: Ann Wilkes of Poughkeepsie, three daughters: Tosha Tucker of Wynne, Alicia Betts and husband JJ of Colt, Amber Martin and husband Jason of Wynne, three brothers: Eddie Tucker of Wynne, Doil Tucker of Wynne, Curt Tucker of Ohio, two sisters: Shirley Botts of Ohio, Earnestine Blackwell of Jonesboro, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Visitation will be held, Saturday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the Smith Center Assembly of God Church. Funeral services will start at 3:00 p.m. at the church, cremation will follow.
