Carolyn Marie Hall, age 79, entered her Heavenly home on January 18, 2026. She was born on April 25, 1946, to Thomas Fay and Molly (Oglesby) Leath in Little Rock, Arkansas. She married her loving husband of 56 years, Tommy, on September 8, 1964. Together they raised five children and, at any given moment, had a house full of grandchildren.
Carolyn loved to cook, especially using the vegetables her husband grew in his garden. She enjoyed spending quiet time shelling purple hull peas or preparing her grandchildren’s favorite foods: chicken and dressing, fried potatoes, cheesecake, and fruit salad. She also enjoyed watching WWE Monday Night Raw or a good western such as Gunsmoke or Little House on the Prairie. Her table was always full of candy and snacks, which were eaten whether you were hungry or not. She loved her dogs and treated them as her own children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Lee Hall Jr.; her son, Terry Hall; and her parents, Thomas Fay and Molly Leath.
She is survived by her children: Tommy Joe Hall (Debbie), Teresa Hall, Tony Hall (Melissa), and Tarah Houston (Derrick). She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, her sister, Delores Taylor, and her beloved dogs, Ruby, Malachi, and Barkley.
Funeral services will be held, Friday, January 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Morton Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a local animal shelter, or that you consider giving a dog in need a loving home, in honor of her love for dogs and the many she provided a home to throughout the years.
Cross County Funeral Service & Crematory was honored with handling the services for the Hall family. 870-587-0565 www.crosscountycremationsandfuneralhome.com
