Christopher Arnold Thigpen, 41, a resident of Colt, went to be with his heavenly Father, Sunday, February 4, 2024, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born, June 7, 1982, in Wynne, the son of Arnold and Melissa Marie Ramsey Thigpen.
Chris was a 2000 graduate of Forrest City High School, earned his technical degree and went to work for UtiliQuest. He was a member of the Connect Point Church where he taught children’s church on Wednesday nights and he helped run the sound system for the church. Chris was a simple man who enjoyed life and was a good person, father and husband. His children were his world, he loved all of them and would do anything for them.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Melissa Thigpen.
Survivors include his wife of twenty years: Melissa Thigpen of Colt, three sons: Aydan, Bostyn and Corbyn Thigpen, six daughters: Abygail, Kaydance, Madyson, Zaydie, Zory, and Sayge Thigpen all of the home, his father: Arnold Thigpen of Palestine, one sister: Kaitlin Thigpen of Palestine, a host of other family and friends.
The family will host a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Feb. 9, at the Connect Point Church in Forrest City.
