Clarence David Holder

Clarence David Holder, 63, a resident of Marion, departed this life, Tuesday, October 3, 2023, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born, October 28, 1959, in Nashville, Tennessee, the son of J D Holder and Norman Jean Bentley Holder. He married Ms. Joanna Gonzales on October 16, 2021.

Clarence was a 1978 graduate of Hume Fogg High School in Nashville, TN and worked as a fleet manager for the federal government for over 35 years. After retiring, Clarence continued working at various jobs until he became ill. He was a soft hearted, tough guy who loved motorcycles, racing, football and aggravating the kids and grandkids. He was a great husband, father and grandfather, always providing for his family’s needs and was very generous. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife: Joanna Holder of Marion, three sons: Jay Holder and wife Joey Lynn of West Memphis, David Holder of Poplar Grove and Brandon Holder of Marion, one sister Kathy Wooten of West Memphis, six grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

Services will be announced at a later date.
