Obituary

Cynthia Marie Thompson, a resident of Augusta, formerly of Telico Trails, departed this life, Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at her home. She was born, February 4, 1947, in Helena the daughter of Artis and Maudie Marie Vincent Turbyfill. She married Mr. Edward Clyde Thomas, Jr. on November 9, 1981.

Cynthia was living in the Chicago area when she received her LPN license. She worked locally for Dr. Meredith’s office, Brickey’s prison and Baptist Hospital in Memphis, before retiring in 1994. She enjoyed crafting, going to flea markets and yard sales and was a collector of many things. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother; Coy Turbyfill.

Survivors include one son: Larry Silski and wife Charlotte of Wynne, one daughter: Denise Yates and husband Danny of Forrest City, one brother: Frankie Mancel of Little Rock, eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and her dog: Trapper.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cross County Funeral Service & Crematory was honored with handling the arrangements for the Thompson family.
