Carlos “Dale” Williams, Sr., 67, a resident of Wynne, passed through this life into eternal life, Monday, December 9, 2024, at his home with his family by his side. He was born, August 31, 1957, in Wynne, the son of Olen and Cora Smith Williams. He married Miss Tammi Maddox on December 1, 2004.
Dale was a 1976 graduate of Apache Junction, Arizona High School, after returning to Wynne, he worked for a couple of concrete companies. He was known to many as the Arizona kid or concrete Dale. He is best known for working for the City of Wynne Street Department for 21 years, retiring February 29th of this year as a foreman. He loved driving the heavy equipment! Dale was a member of the Wynne Assembly of God Church where he lead the Men’s Ministry and worked with the WFA kids. He enjoyed working with the youth groups, because he was a kid at heart. He helped with the annual fundraiser for the Special Olympics since 2017. Dale was a kind, caring man, who took care of everyone, would help anyone in need and was a friend to many. He was the “Rock” of the family, always supporting them and making sure they had what they needed. He was (in his words) always “Workin’ for the Lord”. He enjoyed doing yard work for others, riding motorcycles, but nothing compared to watching his grandchildren at the ball fields. His love for his family was unmeasurable.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Olen and Cora Williams, and one sister: Undine Denisco.
Survivors include his wife of twenty years: Tammi Williams of the home, two sons: Dale Williams, Jr. of Wynne, Devin Griggs and his wife Kayla of Wynne, two daughters: Deshea Norviel and her husband Kenny of Wynne, Delana Pence and her husband Jon of Marion, four brothers: J R Williams of Mesa, Arizona, Dennis Williams of Apache Junction, Arizona, Ricky Caldwell of Texas, Eddie Caldwell of Wynne, one sister: Linda Davis of Vanndale, eight grandchildren:
