Darrell David Woods, 60, a resident of Casa Grande, AZ, formerly of Cherry Valley, took his final ride, Saturday, April 29, 2023, in Chandler, AZ. He was born, November 11, 1962, in Forrest City, the son of Barbara Ann Willard Woods.
Dave worked as a receiver/stocker at Lowe’s in Arizona, but worked harder at home to be the best husband, father and grandfather to his family. He always put his family first, right after his Harley, that he named “Big Red”. Dave had great love for the outdoors, catfishing, going to Disneyland and the beach, having cookouts with his family, riding his motorcycle and playing cards with his mother. His favorite outfit was a Harley Davidson T-shirt, blue jeans and his durag. Dave loved the holidays especially when they were spent with his family. He never had any friends because he made all of them “family”. He never parted with his family until he said “I Love You” and a hug, even on the phone. He was the family advisor and referee and enjoyed listening to rock n roll music. He will be deeply missed by all those who became “family” to him.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Barbara Ann Woods and his beloved dog: Azul Victoria Woods.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-five years: Jane Patterson Woods of the home, two sons: Bradd Woods, Kevin Woods and wife Staci, both of Casa Grande, AZ, two daughters: Amber Deramus and husband James of Conway AR, Christine Neldon and husband Stephen of Arizona City, AZ, one sister: Karen Arnold of Bakersfield, CA, 13 grandchildren, one Great Grandchild on the way: Harley Neldon, Niece: Jessica Woods of Bakersfield, CA and his two dogs: Trouble Harley Woods and Karma Jade Woods.
A visitation will be held Thursday from noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Vanndale Baptist Church with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Tyer Cemetery at Cherry Valley.
Cross County Funeral Service & Crematory was honored with handling the arrangements for the Woods family.
