David Jeremy Ellis

Jeremy Ellis, 50, a lifelong resident of Wynne, departed this life, Thursday, January 20, 2022. He was born, April 2, 1971 in Wynne, the son of Johnny “Leaborn” and Elizabeth Barbara Boeckmann Ellis.

Jeremy was a 1989 graduate of Wynne High School, then attending the Tulsa Spartans Aeronautic School and a flight school in Georgia earning his “IA” Inspector of Aviation certificate and license. He was owner/operator of Ellis Air Repair at the Wynne Airport and currently worked at FedEx repairing their airplanes. He loved to fish, hunt and go to Heber Springs with his children. Jeremy was an awesome father and loved his children above all other things. He was a loving friend to many and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother: Betty Latham and husband Cary of Hardin, Kentucky, father; Leaborn Ellis and wife Dorothy of Wynne, one son; Jake Ellis of the home, two daughters; Destin Williams of Memphis, Tennessee, Alexandria “Ally” Ellis of Wynne, one brother; Lee Ellis of Wynne.

Rosary will be held at 9:00 a.m., Monday, January 24, at the St. Peter's Catholic Church with funeral mass following at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Private burial in Akin Cemetery at a later date.
