David Wayne Hickman, Sr., 75, of Parkin, Arkansas entered his heavenly home on June 23, 2024. David was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Parkin during his time on earth. He spent countless hours as an unofficial handyman around the church and an active member of the church choir.
David also was very involved in local and city politics. He served two terms as a city councilman in Parkin. He also served as Justice of the Peace in West Memphis.
But David’s biggest accomplishment was being a Dad to his sons and Pops to his granddaughters. He loved spending time camping at Greers Ferry and also at “Big Island” his hunting club where he was a member for many years. David also enjoyed a nice cup of coffee and camaraderie with his friends. He loved his coffee shop friends. David also was a dog lover and had many family dogs throughout his life and he leaves behind his dog, Delta.
David was preceded in death by his parents Keith and Linnie Hickman. He is survived by two sons; Dunavant Hickman of West Memphis, AR, and David Hickman II, of West Memphis, AR. Three granddaughters; Alexandra Thomas (Caleb), Ashtan Sieber (Casey), and Eleanor Hickman, and his two great-grandsons Britton Sieber and Mason Thomas. David also left two sisters Kay Smith (Larry) of Grey’s Lake, IL, and Clara Jo Marotti (Jerry) of Branson and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
