David Lee Stallings, 63, a resident of Wynne, departed this life, Sunday, June 9,2024, in Jonesboro with his wife by his side. He was born, February 10, 1961, in Wynne the son of William and Loeva Pittman Stallings. He married Miss Betty Jean Johnson on May 23, 1980.
David worked for the Cross County Road Department for many years as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed grilling, fishing, gardening, being outdoors, riding his 4-wheeler, listening to music, from John Lennon to old country music. David was a big prankster who loved his family and was a good provider, husband, father and grandfather. He would help anyone in need, but most of all he loved hanging out with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Loeva Stallings.
Survivors include his wife of forty-four years: Betty Stallings of the home, two sons: Kevin Stallings and wife Brittney of Paragould, Jeremy Stallings and Sherry of Wynne, two brothers: Paul Stallings and his wife Phyllis of Dixon, Tennessee, William Stallings of Wynne, one sister: Nancy Taylor and husband Melvin of Wynne, two grandchildren: Sonny and Nathan Stallings, and his cat: Skinny Minnie.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
