Deloris (Hamrick) Henshaw

Deloris Henshaw, 78. A resident of Forrest City, departed this life, Friday, October 10, 2025, in Wynne. She was born February 18, 1947, in Wynne, the daughter of Eugene and Rhonda Jane Hood Hamrick. She married Mr. Larry Henshaw in October of 1968.

Deloris was raised in Taylor, Michigan and returned to Arkansas at the age of nineteen. She earned her LPN license and worked for forty-two years at various medical facilities, including CrossRidge, Forrest City Medical Center, Brickey Prison as well as a few doctor’s offices. Nursing was her life, but in her spare time she was an avid reader, always with a book in her hand, she also enjoyed crocheting, knitting and needlepoint while listening to Motown and Rock music. Her greatest joy in life was her family.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Denise Schuster wo became like a daughter to her and her care team from Elite Hospice, Tatum, Katelynn and Elizabeth. They took such good care of her and the family cannot say Thank You enough.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Eugene and Rhonda Hamrick, and one daughter: Mary Elizabeth (Libby) Hamrick Perry.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-seven years: Larry Henshaw of Forrest City, one daughter Angela Henshaw of Forrest City, one brother: David Hamrick of Southgate, Michigan, one sister: Patricia Foster of Palm Coast, Florida, four grandchildren: Bethanie (Jordan) Phillips, Timothy (Leah) Traylor, Alyssa Cleaver, Hartley Hornbeck and three great-grandchildren.

In accordance with Deloris’ wishes, there will be no formal service. The family kindly requests that you take a moment to remember Deloris in your own way.
