Diane Stokes, 63, a resident of Cherry Valley, departed this life, W3ednesday, May 31, 2023, at her daughter’s home in Wynne, with her family by her side. She was born, November 21, 1959, in Snyder, Texas, the daughter of AD “Red” Creasey and Juanita Inez Lee Creasey.
She worked at Addison Shoe Factory in the fitting room for many years and then worked at different jobs around Wynne and Cherry Valley. Diane had a very creative eye and was great at decorating her home and that of others. She enjoyed camping with her sisters, scrapbooking, crafting, cleaning her home and working in her flowerbeds. Her favorite things to do were playing (cheating) Dominoes with her sisters and spending time with her grandchildren. She was always willing to help others even after she became ill.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents: A D and Juanita Creasey, husband: Gene Stokes, one sister: Barbara Brown and a niece: Carrie Ann Brown.
Survivors include one son: Dale Williams, Jr. and LuAnne Holland of Cherry Valley, one daughter: Deshea Norviel and husband Kenny of Wynne, significant other: Eddie Moore, two brothers: Dean (Doris) Creasey of Drasco, Michael Creasey of Morton, four sisters: Katharine (Charles) Harris of Barton, Karen (Jack) Harlson of Hunter, Peggy (Tommy) Smith of McCrory, Belinda (Jimmy) Bruce of Batesville, four grandchildren: Carman Williams, Maggie McCammon, Jaxton Norviel and Adelyn Norviel and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held, Monday, June 5, from noon until service time at 1:00 p.m. at the Wynne First Assembly of God Church. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the church, burial will follow in Pumpkin Bend Cemetery at Morton.
