Donald Gene Throgmartin, 64, a resident of Proctor, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, June 15, 2022. He was born, December 20, 1957, in Trumann, the son of Rev. Leman and Dorothey June Chambers Throgmartin.
Donald worked for UPS as a driver for 34 years before retiring in March of 2020, but was always a carpenter at heart. He married Miss Jo Ann Walker on December 1, 1978. He was a member of the Three Trees Cowboy Church in Wynne and was a God-fearing man who loved his church and served for many years at the Christian Wranglers Camp. His greatest desire in life was to serve the Lord and make his wife happy and proud. Donald enjoyed fishing, playing pranks and spending time with his family. He had a competitive heart, and enjoyed playing games, win or lose. He was a doting family man and a little protective of his family, tracking them on Life360, just to know what they were up too. He was known as Mr. Fix It, always able to fix just about anything. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially as we approach Father’s Day.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Leman and Dorothey Throgmartin, two brothers: Steven and Michael Throgmartin.
Survivors include; his wife of forty-three years; Jo Ann Throgmartin of the home, one son; Josh Throgmartin and wife Paiden of Proctor, one daughter: Carrie Wilbanks of Proctor, one brother; Danny Throgmartin and wife Cathy of Montgomery, Alabama, one sister Rachael May and husband Larry of Holly Springs, Mississippi, four grandchildren: Hailey Throgmartin, Carli Wilbanks, Justin Wilbanks and Aubrey Throgmartin and one Great Granddaughter: Oaklee Taylor.
Visitation will be held, Saturday, June 18, from 10 until 11:00 a.m. at the Three Trees Cowboy Church. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery in Moro.
