Doris Yvonne Matlock passed away Friday, December 18, at home with her family by her side. She was born February 24, 1941 in Cherry Valley to Woodie and Frances Annette “Thompson” Sanders.
Yvonne was a very dedicated Christian, and longtime member of Cherry Valley Baptist Church. She was always happy to help others going above and beyond to show love & compassion, especially when it came to helping children. A few of Yvonne’s favorite hobbies was flower gardening, crocheting afghans, volunteering time at the “Food Pantry” and watching sports, her favorite teems to watch were the Steelers & the Cardinals.
Ms. Matlock was preceded in death by her husband: James Matlock, and her father: Woodie Sanders.
She is survived by her mother: Frances Sanders, one son: James Matlock and fiancé Jennifer Lynn of Vanndale, daughters: Rhonda Matlock Coy of California, Stacy Smith of Mississippi, Erica Doering of Missouri, brothers: Woodie C. Sanders of Wynne, Kenneth Sanders of Fordyce, Lawrence Sanders of Missouri, sisters: Opal Smith of Mississippi, Carolyn Konzak of Vanndale, and 6 grandchildren.
Graveside services for Yvonne will be Wednesday, December 23rd at 11:30 a.m. at Vanndale Cemetery with a short visitation prior to service from 10:30 until 11:30 at the cemetery.
Cross County Funeral Service & Crematory is honored with making arrangements for the Matlock family. Cross County Funeral Service & Crematory management will require all mandated regulations due to Covid-19 be carried out by all who attend the visitation and /or graveside service for the health and safety of everyone.
