Earl McCauley Obituary

Earl Samuel McCauley, 86, a resident of Cash, Arkansas, peacefully departed this life, Monday, April 10, 2023. He was born, May 5, 1936, in Rochester, Pennsylvania, the son of Samuel H. and Ethel Johnston McCauley.

Mr. McCauley spent 38 years in the Air Force and Army Reserves serving his country.  While in the Military, Earl earned his Master Electrician degree and license.  He also worked as a Master Electrician wiring commercial and residential properties, as well as industrial machinery.

Earl’s civic involvement included serving as Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 18 in Wynne, AR, an active member of the Wynne Lion’s Club, a school bus driver for the Wynne Public Schools and a volunteer for Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

He was an avid Square Dancer traveling far and wide to many square dance events and clubs throughout the Central United States. He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting (deer, elk, waterfowl, pheasant, etc.).

Earl was a storyteller, quick with a joke, had a huge infectious smile and never met a stranger.  He would always walk up to strangers, extend his hand for a handshake and say “Hi! How ya do’n?  Where ya from?”  He’ll be missed and remembered for these wonderful characteristics.
