Edward Arvin Billingsley, 71, a resident of Widener, departed this life, Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Baptist Hospital in West Memphis. He was born, September 4, 1954, in Marianna, the son of Leslie and Maggie McClenden Billingsley.
He graduated from Lithonia High School in Georgia in 1972 and worked as a sewer and water equipment operator in Georgia, Forrest City, and Widener before serving as Mayor from 2010. Known for his hard work, dedication, and generosity, he coached kids’ baseball to two state championships and enjoyed fishing, gambling, animals, sports, and joking. He raised chickens and greyhound dogs, racing them at Southland Park and other venues, and treasured time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Maggie Billingsley, and sister, Sharon St. Aubin.
Survivors include his wife Mary Ann Williams Billingsley; sons Arvin St. Aubin, Jr. and Robert St. Aubin (Ashley); daughter Terra Halliburton (Will); brother Harold St. Aubin; sister Ellen St. Aubin; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many relatives and friends.
Services for Arvin will be held at a later date.
