Obituary

Elsie Marie Rivers, 85. A resident of Wynne, departed this life, Saturday, January 28, 2023, at RiverRidge Rehab. She was born, September 30, 1937, in Marseilles, Illinois, the daughter of Myrtle Smith. 

She graduated from High school and enjoyed winning at card games, watching westerns and was a huge sports fan of the Razorbacks, Packers and Steelers. Myrtle was a simple woman who loved spending time with her family and her dogs. Her greatest joy in life was being with her grandchildren and beating them at the card games.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Wallace Ray Bobbitt, III, granddaughter: Amy Perrigo and great granddaughter: Breanna Kersey.

Survivors include three daughters: Delores Murphy and husband Patrick of Huntington, Tennessee, Judy Kersey and husband Mark of Paragould, Debbie Stevens and husband Danny of Colt, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and her two dogs: Lily and Kujo.

No services will be held at this time.

Cross County Funeral Service & Crematory was honored with handling the arrangements for the Rivers family.
