Eva Inez Swearengin, 73, a resident of Forrest City, departed this life, Monday, May 9, 2022, at her home with family by her side. She was born, July 10, 1948, in Forrest City, the daughter of Clinton Hayes, II and Eva Lucille Gunner Elledge.

Eva graduated in 1966 from Brinkley High School and later took some college classes for her job.  She worked as a child nutrition manager for 33 years in the Lee County and Forrest City school systems. She married Mr. William Swearengin on September 17, 1993. She was a longtime member of the Beckspur Baptist Church, where she loved working in the nursery with the children and working in the soup kitchen. She was devoted to her church and to helping others. Eva was said to have the prettiest smile and loved to laugh. Her favorite pastime was visiting with everyone especially her children and grandchildren. Eva was the best wife and mother anyone could ask for and loved all her boys.
