Frances Powell of Earle, AR passed away, Saturday, July 3, 2021 in Jonesboro at the age of 88. She was born on June 24, 1933 in Bay Village, AR to Bill William and Christine “Mays” James.
Ms. Powell owned Vanndale Café many years ago. After running her café, she worked for 3 Rivers Nursing Home in the laundry area and cleaning for several years. Frances was always a very hard worker, and was such a caring and compassionate, and giving person who never had a bad thing to say about anyone. Frances enjoyed flower gardening, working in the yard, and going to flea markets. She was a wonderful mother and will be missed very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Lester Powell, son Sammy Powell, two daughters: Ruby Carroll, Roberta Bratcher, two brothers: Robert James, Alvin James, and two sisters: Ann Owens, and Doris Boyd.
Ms. Powell is survived by: daughter: Mary Fuller and husband Danny of Earle, brother: Timmy James of Earle, sisters: Lee Haynes of North Carolina, Joyce Platz of Manila, 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
The wishes of Frances were to be cremated with no services.
