Mr. Garland Ray Mason of Wynne passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021 in Jonesboro at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center at the age of 70. He was born on February 11, 1951 in Cherry Valley, Arkansas, the son of Albert H. Mason and Nancy Mamie “Middleton” Mason.
Garland had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back if he thought someone needed it. He enjoyed life and spending it with his family. His favorite pastimes were motorcycles, hunting, fishing, watching westerns and playing dominos.
Mr. Mason was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter: Cara Jean Mason, and 2 brothers: Leroy Mason, and Willie Mason
Garland is survived by 2 sons: Wesley Mason of Wynne, William Ray Mason, 1 daughter: Vanessa Moore of Jonesboro, 1 brother: James Mason of Georgia, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A graveside commital service will be held at Vanndale Cemetery, Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Ricky Williams officiating.
Cross County Funeral Service and Crematory had the honor of handling the arrangements for the Mason family.
