James Ray Henson, 84, a resident of Cherry Valley, departed this life, Friday, August 22, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born, July 12, 1941, in Barton, the son of Clifton Eugene and Mary Ellen Anderson Henson. James married Miss Stella Marie Miller on September 11, 1959, together they raised three children.
James was a hard worker, he worked for Mohawk Rubber Company for 22 years and also built some houses and enjoyed working with his hands, he could build anything, including furniture. As a hobby he loved making knives out of different types of wood for the handles. In spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing dominos. James adored his wife, Stella, and the rest of his family, spending much time with them. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Clifton and Mary Henson, one brother: Gene Henson and one granddaughter: Erica Henson.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years: Stella Henson of the home, two sons: Mike Henson and his wife Phyllis of Southaven, Mississippi, Ronnie Henson of Wynne, one daughter: Karen Rolland of Wynne, one sister: Betty Hildelberger of Heber Springs, eight grandchildren: Holt Henson, Jennifer Palmertree, Jeff Palmertree, Courtney Dobbs, Spencer Hinkle, Brett Rolland, Courtney Rolland, Cassie Rolland, eleven great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
Family will hold a Celebration of Life, Saturday, October 4th from 4:00 p.m. until ???? at their home, 3028 Hwy 163, Cherry Valley, AR
