Janice Eleanor Brown, 86, a resident of Wynne, departed this life, Thursday, May 16, 2024, at RiverRidge Rehab Center. She was born, April 16, 1938, in Grand Blanc, Michigan, the daughter of Maynard Cecil and Mildred Elizabeth Lake Hunt.
Jan was a member of the Ellis Faith Assembly of God Church, where she enjoyed helping with all functions. She enjoyed playing cards and visiting with her family and friends. She was a no-nonsense kind of person who loved taking care of everyone, especially children. Jan loved her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Maynard and Mildred Hunt, husband; William T. Brown, one son: Adam Brown, daughter: Lou Ann Brown, brother; Larry Hunt and two sisters; Ellen Yahr and Dorothy Hunt.
Survivors include: two sons; Michael Brown and wife Shirley of Flushing, Michigan, Collin Brown of Nome, Alaska and Wife Rose Campbell of Forrest City, Arkansas, two brothers: John Hunt of Pawpaw, Michigan, Gary Hunt of Brunswick, Georgia, two grandchildren: Raymond Brown, Angela Brown, four great-grandchildren; Makayla Brown, Calin Brown, Kelesy Brown, and Brady Gult.
A graveside memorial service will be held, Tuesday, May 21, at 2:00 p.m. at Barnishaw Cemetery in Pine Tree.
