Janie Joyce (Jarrett) Wallis

Janie Joyce Wallis, 69, a resident of Cherry Valley, departed this life, Thursday, March 24, 2022, at home with her loving family by her side.  She was born, March 7, 1953, in McCrory, the daughter of Edward Elvin and Jewell Evelyn Stokes Jarrett. She married Mr. Lloyd Andrew Wallis on July 3, 1969.

Janie enjoyed camping, fishing and going to rummage sales. She loved spending time with her family, especially her best friend (Dog), Max and visiting with her neighbors Vivian and Diane.  She adored her grandchildren and sons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd Wallis, her longtime companion; Lawrence Cornwell,  two brothers: Bobby and Billy Jarrett, three sisters: Mary Newby, Betty Burton and Margaret Little Moore.

Survivors include four sons: Randy Wallis and wife Hannah of Cherry Valley, Andy Wallis and wife Michelle of McCrory, Martin Cornwell and wife Rose of Wynne, John Cornwell and wife Melissa of Casscoe,  two brothers: Roby Jarrett and Sonny Jarrett both of Bald Knob, eight sisters: Ruby Mae Meredith of McCrory, Jean Burkett of Augusta, Donna McNew of Harrisburg, Barbara Ball of Colt, Michell Holder of McCrory, Carletta Jones of Heber Springs, Linda Harrison of Harrisburg, Glenda Suthrlen of  Wynne, ten grandchildren: Andrew Wallis, Mathew Wallis, Brady L. Wallis, Brady W. Wallis, Mali Claire Wallis, Ashley Swanson, Chris Cornwell, Blake Dooley, Breanna Walker and Brooke Bolden, six great-grandchildren: Josie Wallis, Emmett Wallis, Brayden Walker, Brylee Walker, Bracin Walker, and Myla Bolden.

A memorial service will be held, Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., at the Hickory Ridge City Hall.
