Jerry Lee Martin

Jerry Lee Martin, 82, a resident of Marianna, went to his Heavenly home, Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at home surrounded by family. He was born, October 14, 1941, in Widner, the son of Ervin Lee and Nellie Danner Martin. He married Miss Patricia Elouise Traylor on May 19, 2005.

Jerry worked for Sanyo for 42 years as a forklift driver, retiring in 2010. He was a faithful member of the Marianna Missionary Baptist Church. Jerry enjoyed vegetable gardening, hunting, fishing and working on or just looking at old cars. He had a great sense of humor, always joking around with family and friends. Jerry was a good husband, father and grandfather, he loved his family and his church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter; Kimberly Hanlin, two sisters; Joyce Parker, Naomie Martin, two grandchildren; Michael Martin and Benndi Grace Webb.

Survivors include his wife of eighteen years; Patricia Martin of the home, two sons; Billy Joe Martin of Forrest City, Michael Davis and wife Ammie of Summers, two daughters; Linda Woods and husband Tom of Heath, Lori Cullum and husband Chris of Fayetteville, fourteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held, Saturday, March 9th, from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. at the Marianna Missionary Baptist Church. A graveside service will also be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Loughridge Cemetery in Colt.
