JoLyn (Jones) Rowland

JoLyn Rowland, 72, a resident of Wynne, departed this life, Thursday, April 28, 2022, at her home.  She was born in Bragg City, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Wesley Jones, Sr. and Peggy Joyce Naile Jones.

Ms. Rowland was a 1968 graduate of Arvin High School, she later worked at a legal secretary and paralegal in both California and Memphis. She also worked as a secretary for Lee Greenwood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for a time. She enjoyed reading, facebook, sports, especially the Razorbacks. JoLyn never had any children of her own, but considered her nieces and nephews her own and was their biggest fan and cheerleader. She would travel everywhere to watch whatever event they were participating in. As the eldest child, she helped raise her siblings and was always, till this day, the boss! She was a hard worker, currently working three jobs. She was a very kind, loving Aunt, always bragging about what great parents her nieces and nephews turned out to be.

JoLyn was preceded in death by her parents: Rev. Charles Jones, Sr. and Peggy Jones, two nephews: Wesley jones, Ryan Tippins, one niece: Tara Tippins.

Survivors include three brothers: Chuck Jones and wife Sherry of Wynne, Mark Jones of Horseshoe Bend, Brent Jones of Pigeon Forge, TN, one sister: Judy Jones of Wynne, four nephews: Jeremy (April) Wilson, Nathan (Carly) Nailey, Chase (Brittany) Jones, Jeremy Tippins, four nieces: Lesli (Matt) Easley, Cori (Wesley) Yarbrough, Sheila Tippins, Allison Howerton, 21 great nieces and nephews, 2 great-great nieces and nephews, lifelong friends; Mary Koontz and Marsha Johnson.

A memorial will be held, at 3:00 Sunday, May 1, at the Moro Baptist Church, a visitation will be held prior to the service from 2 till 3:00 p.m. Sunday.
