John "JC" Covington Sanders

John “JC” Covington Sanders, 78, a resident of Helena, departed this life, Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in North Little Rock. He was born, on September 16, 1946, in Helena, the son of Robert Jr. and Alberta Elouise Jackson Sanders.

He was a 1964 graduate of Barton High School and then attended ASU in Jonesboro for a couple of years. He worked in factories most of his life until he retired and went to work as a security guard for Isle of Capri in Helena for the last ten years. JC was a huge sports fan especially for the Razorbacks, he enjoyed watching Football, basketball, baseball and golf. His hobbies included cooking, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. JC had a wicked sense of humor and a very loving heart, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert, Jr and Alberta Sanders, one brother: Robert “Bob” Sanders, and his only son: John C Sanders.

Survivors include his only daughter: Jennifer of Hewitt, Texas, two sisters: Melinda Bennett and her husband Rodger of Holly Grove, Jackie Sanders of Helena, two granddaughters: Mary Cochran, Sarah Cochran Hopkins, one great-granddaughter: Violet and a host of other relatives and friends.

In accordance with JC’s wishes, there will be no formal service. The family kindly requests that you take a moment to remember JC in your own way.
