Jonathan Reid Farris

Jonathan Reid “Hollywood” Farris, 65, a resident of Wynne, departed this life, Sunday, April 17, 2022, at his home. He was born July 27, 1956, in San Diego, California, the son of the late Wilborn Lee and Neosha Vaughan Farris.

Hollywood worked at Mueller/Halstead from 1977 until he retired in 2020.  He married Miss Pamela Scarlett on October 8, 1977. John loved making model airplanes, the San Diego Chargers, watching old scary movies, the “Birds” was his favorite, and tinkering with odds and ends, and had a great sense of humor. He was a loving husband and father, and always worked hard to provide for his family. John was a friend to everyone, always willing to help others. His favorite saying was “Everything will be alright”.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of forty-four years: Pamela Scarlett Farris of the home, one daughter: Scarlett Farris of Wynne, two brothers: Jeff Farris and Daryl Farris both of Fort Worth, Texas, two sisters: Linda Mayes of Fort Worth, Texas and Sharon Harkness of California, Brothers-in-laws: Winton and Rosanda Scarlett of Wynne, Martin and Teri Scarlett, Kelly Scarlett, Clint and Jessi Miller Scarlett, several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be announced in the coming days.
