Julia Ann Myers, 90, a longtime resident of Forrest City, departed this life, Sunday, October 27. 2024, at her home with her family by her side. She was born, May 29, 1934, in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of Robert H. and Ruth Johnson Kyle. Julia married Mr. Joseph Stanley Myers on September 17, 1989, in the Good Hope Baptist church.
She attended school in Dayton, Ohio and then Forrest City. She lived with her most loved grandmother, Julia Johnson until her death in 1949, Julia accepted Christ in 1948 during a revival at the Good Hope Church. She worked for the Arkansas Employment Security Division for 30 years, retiring in 1998. Julia was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church and enjoyed painting and gardening. She loved her home and family; her happiest moments were with these four grandchildren on weekends at home or with Stanley driving the van to take them somewhere special. Julia will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Julia was preceded in death by her father: Robert H. Kyle, mother: Ruth Johnson Pettus, husband: Stanley Myers, one great grandson: Ridge Myers Clark.
Survivors include her two sons: Clinton Myers and wife Jo of Forrest City, Keith Myers and wife Debbie of Forrest City, four grandchildren: Susanne Baber, Amanda Halbert, Becca Arnold, Joseph Myers and seven great-grandchildren.
No services will be held at this time.
