Karen “Sue” Sides of Cherry Valley passed away on Thursday, June 24th in Jonesboro at the age of 71.
Sue was born August 6, 1949 in Beardstown, IL to Mr. Lawrence Albert and Ada Bernice “Lee” Crook.
Sue worked at Addison Shoe Co. for a number of years but mostly was a homemaker taking care of her family and seeing to their needs. She enjoyed reading mystery books, coloring books, playing computer games, watching YouTube videos, and spending time with her grandkids.
Ms. Sides is preceded in death by her parents, one son: John Robert Robinson, two brothers: David and Larry Crook, and one sister: Dorothy Brehe.
She is survived by two sons: Donald Knowles, Jr. of Cherry Valley, Christopher Knowles of Fishhook, IL, two daughters: Angie Knowles of Wynne, Carrie Burton and husband Jeremy of Vanndale, two brothers: Tom and Donnie Crook, and five sisters: Becky Shepherd, Katy Williams, Vada Williams, Sandy Blackordy, and Mary Crowe, 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Vistiation will be held, Tuesday, June 29, from 1:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m., at the Vanndale Baptist Church, funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m.. Burial will be in Bay Village Cemetery.
