Larry Wayne Mitchell

Larry Wayne Mitchell, 77, a resident of Cherry Valley, formerly of Wynne, went to be with his Heavenly Father, Wednesday, June 7, 2023, he was home with his family by his side.  He was born June 3, 1946, in Dewitt, the son of Floyd and Juanita Turner Mitchell. He married Miss Nancy Farris on November 19, 1976.

He was a 1964 graduate of Wynne High School and served in the Army National Guard after high school. Upon returning from military serve, he worked at Halstead for 28 years and then at Con Agri for 16 years. He was a member of the Wynne Church of God many years ago. Larry loved being outside, he mowed yards for others for many years and enjoyed watching westerns on TV. His greatest love was Nancy and children. He was a great man and never had a bad day or a bad word to say about anybody.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, and his parent-in-law: Joseph and Elsie Farris.

Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years: Nancy Mitchell of the home, one son: Kasey Mitchell of Cherry Valley, two brothers: Kevin Mitchell and wife Brenda of Mayflower, Roger Dale Mitchell of Arkansas, one sister: Marlo Mitchell of Arkansas.

A visitation will be held, Saturday, June 10, from 11 until noon at the Feltner Assembly of God Church. No funeral will be held for Mr. Mitchell
