Lucy Inez (Crump) Paxton

Lucy Inez Paxton, 74, a resident of Wynne, departed this life, Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Crestpark Nursing Home in Wynne. She was born, January 7, 1949, in Luxora, Mississippi, the daughter of Nathaniel Lee and Francis Rebecca Groves Crump.

She didn’t have a lot of education and had a hard life but she always made the best of things for her family. Lucy was the glue that held her the family together. She loved to clown around, and was fun and outgoing, never met a stranger. She loved going to and hosting Tupperware parties. Her family was always first in her life, they will miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: Robert and Johnny Crump.

Lucy is survived by two sons: Edward Paxton and wife Cindy of Bono, Rodney Paxton and wife Jennifer of Cherry Valley, one daughter: Becky Cloukey and husband Jason of Arcadia, Florida, one sister: Linda Crump o Arkansas, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

No services will be held at this time. In honoring Lucy’s wishes, she will be cremated.
