Margaret Inez (Curtis) Doyle Davis

Margaret Inez (Curtis) Davis, age 82, a resident of Cherry Valley, departed this life on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, after a short battle with brain cancer. Margaret passed in the comfort of her son’s home, David and Elaine Doyle, where she had resided for the last 4 years, surrounded by loved ones. Margaret was born July 7, 1940 in Forrest City, AR, the daughter of George Wesley and Edna Ann (Gosha) Curtis.

She graduated from Cherry Valley High School in 1958. She married Jack J.R. Doyle and enjoyed over 20 years of marriage with their 3 sons. She married Dewy “Junior” Davis and enjoyed 19 years of marriage with him. Margaret retired from Yale Industrial Products in Forrest City after 35 years of service. Margaret enjoyed reading and seeking out Saturday morning yard sales and local auctions which was a hobby that she shared with many family members. She also loved to cook and made the best chicken and dumplings and turkey and dressing. She shared several of her recipes with family and friends. Margaret loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved talking on the phone with family and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Jack J.R. Doyle and Dewey “Junior” Davis; half siblings Irene (Mize) Shinn, James “JD” Mize, Thelma (Mize) Davis, Robert “Sonny” Mize, Aaron Curtis, Velma (Curtis) Gosha, Betty (Curtis) Neiheiser, Lucy (Curtis) Chapman, Bynita Curtis, Eldridge Curtis, Raymond Curtis; and grandson Duane “J.R.” Doyle.

She is survived by her sister; Georgia Duncan (Jay) of Fredricktown, Mo; sons; Dr. Duane Doyle, Sr (Denise) of Jonesboro, David Doyle (Elaine) and Terry Doyle (Missy) of Cherry Valley; six grandchildren, Michael Doyle (Amber), Chris Doyle (Kellye), Kayla Doyle, Rocky Doyle, Levi Doyle, Andrew Doyle; 6 great grandchildren, Noah Doyle, Olivia Margaret Doyle, Evan Doyle, Gwendoly Doyle, Ganon Doyle, Lanie Rayne Austin and 2 bonus great grandchildren Noah Goins and Luke Goins; and several nieces and nephews.

To celebrate Margaret’s life, a luncheon memorial will be held in her memory at the home of her son, David and Elaine Doyle, the address is 425 CR 300,  Cherry Valley, on Saturday, September 10 from Noon-4 p.m. All friends and family are invited to attend.
