Margaret Pauline Watlington, 91, a resident of Wynne, went to be with her Heavenly Father, Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Crestpark Nursing Center in Wynne. She was born, June 23, 1933 in Forrest City, the daughter of James Houston and Opal Elizabeth Spencer Clegg. She married Mr. Claude Watlington January 4, 1954.
She was a graduate of Forrest City High School, where she played on the girls’ basketball team. Margaret was a member of the Life Changing Ministry, she enjoyed embroidering, word search puzzles, reading and never said a bad word about anybody. Margaret was a strong woman and a wonderful loving mother, grandmother and friend. She loved the Lord and adored her family especially her grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents: Houston and Opal Clegg. Husband: Claude Watlington, one son: Randall Watlington, one brother: Henry Clegg, one sister: Florann Watlington, three grandchildren: Jennifer Eoff, Stella Taylor, and Trinity Barber.
Survivors include: three sons: Bradley Watlington and wife Jasmine of Wynne, Bruce Watlington of Colt, Keith Watlington and wife Carrie of Vanndale, five daughters: Deborah Eoff of Wynne, Darlene Barber and husband Tim of Palestine, Sherin Smith and her husband Billy of Wynne, Pam Davis and husband Allan of Wynne, Patricia Reeves of Colt, one sister: Kathy Baskins and husband J.T. of Colt, twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held, Tuesday, February 25th at the Life Changing Ministry Church (also known as Church of Living Water) from 1:00 until 2:00, funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Church, with interment following in Smith Chapel Cemetery.
