Mary Hester Sanders Loyd

Mary Hester Loyd, 71, a lifelong resident of Wynne, died on Dec 2, 2020, at her home with her family at her side.

Mary was born August 19, 1949, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Roy Sanders and late Evelyn Copeland Sanders.

Mary and her late husband, William were married on October 6, 1967, and were married 48 1/2 years before he passed away. Mary always said she married her soul mate. Mary was a stay home mom raising their two children, then became the infamous “Meme” to their two grandchildren and too many, many, more, she never met a stranger. Mary loved to shop and travel; she also loved working in her yard. Mary was a member of East Baptist Church.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Loyd Sr., and one sister; Rosetta Andrews.

Mary is survived by one son: William Loyd Jr. of Wynne, one daughter: Angel Loyd of Wynne, two granddaughters: Savannah Loyd and Rylan Loyd, both of Wynne, one sister; Glenda Leonard and her husband Jack of Hickory Ridge and one brother James (Betty) Sanders of Wynne.

At Mary’s request, there will be no service due to the coronavirus.
