Melanie Carlene Davis, 53, a resident of Jonesboro, formerly of Wynne, departed this life, Wednesday, August 16,2023, at her home. She was born, July 18, 1970, in Wynne, the daughter of Garey Carl and Ronalene Fay Barr Phillips.
She was a 1988 graduate of Wynne High School and worked for Allscapes Irrigation in Jonesboro as a landscaper for several years. Melanie enjoyed gardening and could grow anything with her green thumb. She loved Razorback football and NASCAR, working word and jigsaw puzzles, but her greatest joy was dancing around with her children and grandchildren. Melanie loved to have fun and laugh; she always had a smile and a big heart and gave the biggest hugs. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Billie Jean and Gene Thompson, Ronald Barr and Jay Johnson.
Melanie is survived by her parents: Garey Phillips of Hot Springs, Mother: Ronni and Edd Stevens of Wynne, grandmother: Zelma Johnson of Wynne, four sons: Craig Davis of Cherry Valley, Eric King and wife Brittany of Hickory Ridge, Brett King and wife Marlee of Wynne, Grant King of Forrest City, three daughters: Kari Beth Kemp and husband Jim of Vanndale, Terra James and husband Kyle of Vanndale, Kayla King of Hickory Ridge, two brothers: Jason Phillips and wife Amy of Hot Springs, Justin Philips and wife Anna of Hot Springs, two sisters: Andrea Wilson and husband Ronald of Wynne, Stephanie Phillips of Hot Springs, seven grandchildren; Oaklee Davis, Cannon Davis, Jax King, Chance King, Beau King, Grayson James, Cooper James and a host of Nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life gathering, Saturday, August 26th from 2-4:00 p.m. at the Cherry Valley Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 115 Dexter, Cherry Valley.
