Michael Eugene Lucas

Michael Eugene Lucas, 48, a lifelong resident of Forrest City, departed this life, Sunday, March 3, 2024, at his home with his family by his side. He was born, March 21, 1975, in Forrest City, the son of Melvin Eugene and Martha Lee Smalley Lucas. He married Tisha Lincoln on September 23, 2023.

He was a 1993 graduate of Forrest City High School and worked for Coremark for the last 8 years. Michael attended Ridgewood Baptist Church and was a member of the Wynne Bass Club. In his spare time Michael made fishing lures and loved bass fishing and turkey hunting. He was known as one of the “good guys” and a great friend, always willing to help others. Michael loved hanging out with his family and friends, he was always joking around and “picking” on somebody. He will always be remembered as “grilling a mean steak”. His greatest joys in life were his family followed by fishing!

Michael was preceded in death by his father; Melvin Lucas, one brother; Johnny Lucas.

Survivors include his mother: Martha Lucas of Forrest City, wife: Tisha Lucas of the home, four sons; Cade Lucas of Forrest City, Brandon Davis and his wife Heather of Mayflower, Dustin Davis and wife Takelia, of Jonesboro, Dalton Davis of New Orleans, Louisiana, two daughters; Whitney Ashby and husband Ethan of Searcy, Catherine Haynes and husband T.J. of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, two sisters; Melanie (Jerimy) Abram of Haynes, Debra (Dwain) Coleman of Crystal River, Florida, four grandchildren; John Chandler Ashby, Cohen Ashby, Jeffrey Haynes, Miley Davis and a baby girl on the way.

The family will hold a memorial service, Sunday, March 10th, from 2 until 4:00 p.m. at the Ridgewood Baptist Church in Forrest City.
