Mildred Louise (Wiliams) Vest

Mildred Louise Vest, 71, a resident of Vanndale, departed this life peacefully, Monday, May 23, 2022, at her home with her family by her side. She was born January 22, 1951, in Parkin, the daughter of Eugene and Hazel Creekmore Williams.

She was a graduate of Vanndale High School and worked in a factory most of her adult life. She enjoyed fishing, flower gardening, cooking, watching the Home Shopping Network and old John Wayne movies.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, laughing and cutting up.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; Eugene Williams, Hazel Rowan, and Bernard Little, the man who raised her after her fathers’ passing, her husband: Gary Vest, and one sister: Katherine Vanderheyden.

Survivors include two daughters: Kimberly Martin and her husband Dale, Becky Guth and her husband Matt, all of Wynne, one brother: Edward Williams and wife Linda of Cherry Valley, five grandchildren: Tyler Scarlett, Allison Scarlett, Amber Williams, Bailey Pitts and Kailey Martin and one great grandson: Preston King.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date to be announced.

Cross County Funeral Service & Crematory was honored with handling the arrangements for the Vest family.
