Myra Geraldine Hughes passed away on Monday, December 19th in Nashville, TN at the age of 73. She was born on March 8, 1949 in Springfield, Illinois to Paul James Petersen and Loretta June “Carnduff” Petersen.
Myra was close to her sister Jackie, and enjoyed playing tri-dominos and various other games with her. Myra’s nickname was “Muggie” which most all her friend called her. Muggie enjoyed singing and dancing to all the old-time country music, traveling, watching Law and Order, was a huge Elvis fan, and reading books written by Lisa Jackson (her favorite author).
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Charles “Pete”, and Paul “Tad” Petersen, and one sister: Jacqueline “Jackie” Chapman.
Myra is survived by her three children: Joe Fecho, Jr. of Conway, Tami Jacobs and husband Phillip of Mount. Juliet, TN and Joni “Gina” Hughes of Pocahontas, fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation for Myra will be Friday, December 23rd at 1:00 pm at the Vanndale Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at the church at 2:00 p.m. Memorials can be made to: Alive Hospice, 1710 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203.
