Odelia “Dee” Mary Brown, 84, a longtime resident of Wynne, went to be with her Heavenly Father, Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born on May 20, 1941, in Peach Orchard, AR the daughter of Joseph Frank and Ida May Knoppe Fox. She married Mr. Charles Ray Brown on February 13, 1957.
Dee was a devout Catholic and member of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She worked for Warwick and then Sanyo for 40 years, and after Sanyo closing worked at various Hotels in Hospitality. Dee enjoyed reading, her cats and traveling to Florida, because she loved the beach and she was known to talk to anyone, never meeting a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Ida Fox, one son: Charles Edward “Eddie” Brown, five brothers: Albert Fox, Raymond Fox, Victor Fox, Robert Fox, Morris Fox, and one sister: Carolyn Nolan.
Odelia is survived by her loving husband of sixty-eight years: Charlie Brown of Wynne, one daughter: Julia Dee Brown Taylor of Wynne, two sisters: Jo Ann Fox Fisher of Wynne, Marie Ashby of St. Louis, Missouri, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held, Saturday, February 7, from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. following the visitation. Her ashes will be buried with her son in the Blackton Cemetery in Monroe County.
