Opel Faye Snearley of Wynne passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Saturday, December 19th at the age of 83. She was born October 12, 1937 in Vanndale, AR to Mr. John Albert and Madora “Kettell” Jones.
Opal was a 1957 graduate of Vanndale High School and later became a cafeteria worker for the school. Mrs. Snearly was a woman of God who loved Jesus & reading her Bible. She was a long time member of Feltner Assembly of God Church, Sunday school teacher, “Women’s Ministry” leader, and also enjoyed singing and praising God. She loved her family and wanted to spend as much time with them as possible.
Opel was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Don Wayne Snearly, brothers: Elbert, Ray & John Jones, sisters: Christeen McDaniel, Martha Morris, Mary Crawford, Ruby Conrad, Bertis Westcott, Hazel Lloyd
She is survived by son: Don D. Snearly of Wynne, Daughters: Tracey Windle and husband Albert of Wynne, Tammy Allen and husband Ronnie of Crawfordsville, sister: Alice Evans, grandchildren; Justin Windle, Tiffany Abanathy, Cory Snearly, Chris Allen, Maranda Wilmoth, and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at the Feltner Assembly of God Church in Vanndale with burial in Vanndale Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, December 21, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the church. Cross County Funeral Service & Crematory management will require all mandated regulations due to Covid-19 be carried out by all who attend the visitation and /or funeral service & burial for the health and safety of everyone.
