Patsy Jean Blackwell, 83, a resident of Wynne, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, February 29, 2024, in Jonesboro. She was born, June 21, 1940, in Forrest City, the daughter of Hilton and Opal Jewel Davis Schoonover. She married Mr. Carl Blackwell on February 15, 1957.
She attended schools in Wynne and then worked for Addison Shoe Factory as a foreman for 45 years. Pat was a member of the East Baptist Church and enjoyed working in her yard, attending antique engine shows with her husband, traveling, having lunch with her friends and shopping. She hosted an annual Christmas party at her home every year, it started out small but over the years it continued to grow. Each year she took a mother/daughter trip to Branson. Pat adored her grandchildren; each was special to her in their own way. Her family was her greatest joy in life, they will all miss her greatly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Carl Blackwell, two brothers; James Schoonover, Gary Schoonover, and one sister; Bonnie Fowler.
Pat is survived by one son; Barry Blackwell and wife Brandi of Wynne, one daughter; Debra Meachum and husband Billy of Wynne, four grandchildren; Nicholas (Stephanie) Meachum, Dalton Meachum, Connor Blackwell, Kayla (Nathan) White, six great grandchildren and one more on the way.
Visitation will be held, Monday evening from 6 till 8:00 p.m. at the East Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the East Baptist Church with interment following in Vanndale Cemetery.
