Polly Ann Poindexter
Mrs. Polly Ann Poindexter, a lifelong resident of Wynne, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord, Friday, January 17, 2020. Polly was 72 years of age and passed away at home with her family by her side. She was born on December 16, 1947, in Hickory Ridge, the daughter of Oscar and Bessie Willis Sutherland.
Mrs. Poindexter graduated from Vanndale high school before marrying Mr. Harold Poindexter. Polly worked in food service at the Wynne Public Schools for 28 years before retiring. She was a member of the Wynne First Assembly of God Church and enjoyed quilting, sewing, traveling and Flea Markets. She had a good sense of humor and was a great wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Edward Sutherland and Luther Sutherland, one sister Francis Sutherland Hess.
She is survived by her husband: Harold Poindexter of the home, one son: Brad Poindexter and wife Amy of Wynne, one daughter: Lori Poindexter Graham and husband Marty of New Roads, Louisiana, one sister Lois Gaskins of Wynne, four brothers: Ray Sutherland of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Gary Sutherland of Wynne, Larry Sutherland of Memphis, Tennessee and Ronnie Sutherland of Sugar Tree, Tennessee, three grandchildren: Eli Graham and wife Emily, Morgan Graham Wilkes and husband Shawn and Seth Poindexter and a host of other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held, Monday, January 20, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., at the Wynne First Assembly of God Church on Killough Road.
